Progress report

Plateau de La Veyre-Derrey in St-Légier: In 2018, the project advanced as planned. The land use plan has been presented to the Canton for approval, the zone plan is ready, and the future allotment and building rights are under discussion between the current landowners and the municipality of St-Légier. On this last point, an agent has realized a financial analysis and a realty analysis, as well as an allotment proposal, which will be used as a basis for negotiation between landowners. The objective for 2019 is the completion of the public inquiry into the land use plan.

After the modification of the Canton’s structural plan in January 2018, new jurisprudence has rendered the development of a management strategy for activity areas compulsory. This document defines precisely how the different areas will be coordinated on a regional level and which management measures are planned. Initially, this management tool was to be defined by a cantonal directive, but eventually the responsibility for it has been handed over to the municipalities, which will have to organize the task at a regional level. This element touches upon regional governance, and will have to be coordinated along with reflections on a new agglomeration project or intermunicipal master plan. These questions are under discussion at the political level.
